The 48-Hour Guarantee in Germany
Two separate commitments, both measured in working hours, not calendar time: your fleet is delivered within 48 working hours of a signed order and cleared advance payment, and any device that fails is replaced within 48 working hours of a confirmed fault — Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, or anywhere else in Germany. Our nationwide courier network keeps the guarantee uniform, not a faster tier for one city and a slower one for another. Not a target. A contractual commitment.
Get a QuoteTwo guarantees, both 48 working hours
1. Initial delivery — 48 working hours
The clock starts when your order is signed and the advance payment has cleared. It ends when your configured, MDM-enrolled fleet is on your doorstep. 48 working hours, not calendar hours — public holidays and outside-business-hours don't count against the clock.
2. Swap / replacement — 48 working hours
The clock starts when a hardware fault on an already-deployed device is reported and validated. It ends when a configured replacement is on your doorstep. Also 48 working hours — the same measurement standard as the delivery guarantee, kept entirely separate from it.
These are two distinct commitments, not one guarantee restated twice — a slow delivery does not "use up" any of the swap guarantee's clock, and vice versa. Both apply identically at every location we serve, in every region, on every fleet tier. There is no faster tier for a capital city and no slower tier anywhere else.

How the swap/replacement guarantee works
Report
Fault reported via account manager or support ticket. Failure validated with your IT admin — usually within 2 hours during business hours.
Match
Equivalent spec pulled from in-country inventory. Your MDM profile and applications staged on the replacement device before dispatch.
Dispatch
Courier or field engineer scheduled directly to your site. No central office routing — the replacement goes to the location where the fault occurred.
Delivery
Replacement device live and productive, within 48 working hours of the validated fault report. Failed unit collected for in-house lab diagnosis. You receive a fault report summary within 3 business days.
Why we can promise this
In-country stock
We hold buffer inventory in-country in every region we serve — not procured per-order. Replacements are dispatched from the nearest stock point, no regional hub delays, no cross-border shipping.
In-house engineers
Repair engineers are on payroll, not contracted out. Faults are diagnosed internally, which means we control the repair queue — not a third-party service centre.
National courier partnerships
Dispatch runs through established national courier partners in every market we serve, so a replacement reaches any city on our coverage list on the same guaranteed clock — not just the location nearest our office.
Pre-staged MDM profiles
Your device profile is stored in our system. The replacement is enrolled and configured before it leaves the dispatch point. Staff receive a ready device, not a factory default.
Covers every location
Both guarantees apply at each delivery address independently. Multi-site customers don't route replacements through head office — dispatch goes directly to the affected site.
The 40+ Point Deployment Readiness Check
Every device passes a documented 40+ point QC check at two points in its lifecycle: before it's deployed to you, and again on every return. The same checklist, every device, every fleet tier, every region we serve — it doesn't vary by market or by tier. It's how a swap replacement lands ready to work, not just powered on.
...and every swap is timestamped in your client portal — nothing to take our word for.
How this compares to typical industry language
No named competitors — this is the general language common across DaaS, leasing and IT-support providers, versus what we actually commit to in writing.
What "coverage" usually means
Typical language used across the DaaS, leasing and IT-support industry:
- "Expedited replacement" — no number attached
- "Best-effort" swap or repair window
- "2–4 week installation lead time" on new fleet orders
- Support available "during standard business hours"
What JD Tech Rentals guarantees
Written into every service agreement, with a number attached:
- 48 working hours from signed order to fleet delivery
- 48 working hours from confirmed fault to replacement
- Same commitment in every region, every city, every fleet tier
- A contractual guarantee, not a target or an estimate
No competitor is named above — this reflects general language common across the DaaS, leasing and IT-support industry, not a specific vendor.
Common questions about the guarantee
Does the guarantee apply to every device tier?
Yes. Both the delivery and swap/replacement guarantees apply to all four fleet tiers — Junior / HR, Mid-Level / Dev, Senior / Power, and Creative / Graphics. GPU workstations and specialist hardware are covered under the same 48-working-hour commitment, with in-country buffer stock maintained for each tier.
What exactly starts each 48-working-hour clock?
The initial-delivery clock starts once your order is signed and the advance payment has cleared — whichever of the two happens last, not whichever happens first. The swap/replacement clock starts once a hardware fault on an already-deployed device is reported and validated with your IT admin, which we target within 2 hours of the initial report during business hours. Both clocks run in working hours, not calendar hours.
Do public holidays count against the 48-hour clock?
No. Both guarantees are measured in working hours. Public holidays and time outside normal business hours in the relevant country don't count toward either the 48-working-hour delivery window or the 48-working-hour swap window — the clock only runs while our team is actually able to act on it.
Is accidental damage covered the same way as a hardware fault?
The 48-working-hour swap guarantee applies to genuine hardware faults regardless of cause — you still get a replacement on the same clock. What differs is who pays: a manufacturing or hardware fault is covered at no charge, while user-caused damage (drops, spills, cracked screens) is billed per your Protection plan unless you've added accidental-damage cover. See Protection & Insurance for the full breakdown.
What happens to the failed device?
The failed device is collected at the time of replacement delivery. It goes to our in-house repair lab for diagnosis. If the fault is a manufacturing defect, no charge applies. If the fault is accidental damage covered under your protection plan, it's handled per your plan terms. You receive a fault summary report within 3 business days.
Is this a real SLA, or just marketing language like "expedited" or "best effort"?
It's a real SLA: 48 working hours, in writing, for both delivery and swap/replacement — not "expedited" or "best effort" phrasing with no enforceable meaning behind it. The same explicit number applies in every region and every fleet tier, written into the service agreement itself.
Is the QC check actually documented per device, or just a label on the invoice?
Documented per device: the 40+ Point Deployment Readiness Check is logged on every unit at two points in its lifecycle — before it's deployed to you, and again on every return — not a generic "refurbished and quality checked" claim with no record behind it.
