End-of-rental collection that your IT team doesn't have to manage

When a rental contract ends, the last thing your IT or HR team needs is to coordinate laptops coming back from offices in three different Nigerian cities. JD Tech Rentals' device recovery service treats end-of-rental collection as a delivery in reverse — one coordinated operation, one confirmed go-return date, one collection per location.

For fintechs with remote developers spread across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt home offices, and for EPC contractors demobilising a Port Harcourt project office, we collect directly from employee and site addresses. Your HR or project team submits the list; we schedule collections within 48 working hours. You receive a photo confirmation email per device.

Collection confirmation runs in both directions. Your nominated contact receives a photo confirmation email showing the collected device(s) on the day of collection. Once devices are processed at our facility, a NIST 800-88 per-SSD wipe certificate is issued and sent to you — documentation you can hold against the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission's (NDPC) requirements for a clean chain of custody.

Collection points are available in each major Nigerian city we serve for clients who prefer to send devices by courier rather than scheduling a pickup. Standard courier packaging applies and we provide the collection address on request.

Common questions

Can you collect from remote employees' home addresses or a project site across different Nigerian cities?

Yes. Home-address and project-site collection is part of the service. You provide the list of addresses at the time you request collection, we confirm a schedule within 24 hours, and collections happen within 48 working hours. This is commonly used by Lagos fintechs with remote developers and by EPC contractors demobilising a Port Harcourt site office.

Is end-of-rental collection free, or is there a charge?

First delivery at contract start and final collection at contract end are covered by JD Tech Rentals as part of your rental agreement. Mid-contract pickups — for employee offboarding, hardware upgrades, or project demobilisation ahead of contract end — are charged at the actual courier cost incurred, confirmed before arranging collection.

What do we receive as proof that devices were collected and data was wiped, for our NDPA compliance file?

You receive two things. First, a photo confirmation email on the day of collection, showing each collected device with identifiable details. Second, a NIST 800-88 per-SSD wipe certificate for every storage device, recording the device serial number, wipe method, timestamp, and pass/fail status per drive — documentation your compliance team can hold against NDPA obligations.
